Being open to new and different theories regarding earthquakes and the possible triggering actions, please follow up on your statement regarding "showing why it is extremely unlikely that proton storms could have a significant effect on earthquakes" as you have postulated. The theory that proton storms can effect earth's geomagnetic field and likewise effect the possible seismic activity seems plausible to a layperson such as myself. Please provide evidence or dare I say speculation as to why this theory is not plausible.
