Re: Good science versus ???

Under Newtonian physics, there would never have been room for Einstein's theory of relativity. Don't you think that a good scientist, in the absence of any visual or physical evidence surrounding a suspected phenomenon would study anomalous behavior around a suspected phenomenon ... much the same as the study of black holes. They cannot be seen but the the anomalous behavior of surrounding light-emitting stars can be seen and studied. Wouldn't a good scientist study the predictions and possible reasons behind claims of earthquake sensitives as well as all the other possible triggers from weather phenomenon to the changes in the geomagnetic field? The possibility that a human being has the sensory mechanisms to either hear or feel plate movement seems plausible. That does not however, mean that I can predict the future or a so-called earthquake sensitive has psychic powers. Maybe there are those with psychic powers or senses. Have you studied psychic phenomenon to the point of either proving or disproving it? Have you studied the predictions and claims of earthquake sensitives to the point of either proving or disproving their claims? The real problem, as is the problem with string theory, is that I personally have yet to find a predictable pattern. However, I am not, as you are in the case of earthquake sensitives, making broad sweeping judgements about the scientific foundation for string theory. There is no more predictable pattern or evidence for one as there is for the other.
