Dear John,

it is not scientifically correct to criticise the theory without understanding of its background. The new theory of tectonics plate movement is not based on thermal waves propagation into depths, but on the thermoelastic waves. These waves were described by Berger (1975): A Note on Thermoelastic Strains and Tilts, J. Geophys. Res., 80, 274-277.
