Hello Chris, I only looked at the ten wettest years. I have not found data on the ten driest years. Might make a difference, but I don't know, yet. The Illinois info is at the URL. I used the PDE and SRA catalogues to check the rain vs seismicity. The two largest summations of data for precipitation are 1881 thru 1883 and 1948 thru 1950 with no observable increase in large seismic activity. The finding is limited by not having all the rainfall data. I did not check two year versus three year summations for rainfall. If the question is if Wabash seismic events are related to heavy rainfall years---then I have to think "no". Too many other events to narrow it down that way statistically.
