From John's perspective I suppose we sould just assign every section of the fault 20$ because we don't know anything. Or, go farther and give Cholame 10% and Parkfield 90%. I think you (John) are taking Weldon/Fumal way too far. As a geologist, and maybe structural geologist, southern San Andreas (Salton Sea/Cholame) is 10 months pregnant. I'd compromise between the new info and the 1990 working group and say Carrizo is 7 months pregnant...there are premature births, however.
