well, I'm familiar with mb, Ms, and Ml. There are others and a good source is the NEIC website which has informative articles on a variety of subjects.

There's also intensity to consider....

Check the options on the NEIC search engine for information which might be needed in a prediction. Particularly relevant, since that's what I use to get seismicity data.

Any can mean "any size" or "any scale". Some mag scales go above 9.9 now BTW.
