Good morning...it's Sunday and I still wake up at 6...just in time to see the big plow come by for the first time, 48 hours after the storm ended. I thought I would have some free time after getting the proposals in but realize I won't for 2 weeks, so will be firmly planted on my butt in front of computer, and wanting to take the occasional break by coming to this site...where only a few of us have been regularly posting. So, I invite the lurkers and rare posters to post (of course, anytime). Since we no longer get the hard copy of the AGU fall meeting before the meeting, and I don't like to browse it online, if anyone finds a cool abstract feel free to link to it. I ran into a link to news coverage of Vidale et al publication, but did not link it here and now forget what it was..Glen's link to the patterns was cool and there was a short discussion on patterns etc soon afterwards. Why did California light up with 3s and 4s the past week and now seems to have turned off? Are there really patterns of small quakes (3 and smaller) turning on and off for the whole state or half of it, or am I imagining it? What do people know about various faults in California, North America, the world?
