new program |
Hi all; I wrote a program to look for hot spots. It counted all the quakes by 5 degree lat-lon squares, sorted out those with over 200 mag 5 events, computed the average time between quakes and time since the last quake and flagged the squares that are overdue. To my surprise, over half of the 64 chosen sites are overdue, some by large amounts. Strange, no?
