Thought I'd do a little catching up here by noting that my post numbers 3256/3258 was a hit in the 9th ring with the following event (same event that MB called):

Mw 6.6 (GS), 6.6 (HRV).

Also, it appears that I did my normal screwing up with post #3285 where I thought the event would be within 250 miles of Santa Clarita. Well...it appears that it wasn't. Since post #3258 was using the same magnitudes, the M5.4 event in Guerrero, Mexico today, 1,670 miles from my coordinates, was in the 6th ring where the magnitude was 5.5+ or .1 short of the expected magnitude. The Costa Rica M6.3 event today was in the 7th ring at 2,730 miles from my location where the expected magnitude was 5.8+ which, if I had used my rings, would have been a hit. Also note that when I pick up a signal I give it a +/- of .7 from the base magnitude. At that distance, the base magnitude would have been 6.5 or .2 higher then it was. But then on the USGS Rapid Moment Tensor Solution page its listed as Mw6.4. But then we all know that these magnitudes will change.

So based on the above, I don't have any outstanding posts as of this time (now watch mother nature show that I spoke to soon).

Activity in Southern California has been getting quiet lately potentially indicating a good sized event is close to letting loose, but I'm not getting anything quantitative that would indicate this.
