Re: One Might Ask - What is scientific? |
Hi All, I enjoyed this program probably more than most because in it they discussed hearing ranges for humans and animals. Animals can hear infrasound where humans cannot. Infrasound is at a level lower than ULF. But in a proper test with people who ear tones; we might find out if perhaps some people do hear infrasound, but without their knowledge of the work we are doing, the ground work has not as yet been set for people skills testing. For those who could not see this show, it started with an interview with Jim Berkland and he had his dog with him. He talked about lost pet ads in the newspapers and how he noted the averages and when they went way above normal along with lunar and tidal data, he was able to make some good earthquake predictions using that information. A pause ensued and the narrator said, "Jim Berkland's method is controversial." They discussed Loma Prieta and displayed the news articles from the San Jose Mercury news showing his prediction and the second article giving him front page credit for predicting it. Some did not believe those articles existed and the program tonight should dispell those thoughts. A geo-scientist in Japan said something I've said all along and that was that you can show in a lab that stiking a rock emits electromagnetic sounds and said further that one could imagine inside of an earthquake fault the same thing is going one, but on a much larger scale and that some animals can perceive this sound. He ran a test using a cat fish, two turtles and one other which I can't recall. The cat fish is well known regionally to react prior to earthquakes and he tested on in the lab by putting it into an aquarium with electrodes at each end. Only the cat fish reacted to the electromagnetic signals when sent and it was immediate. He now has a cat fish he monitors 24/7 and says that he is staking his professional reputation at stake in doing this work. There were many other interviews with primarily biologists around the world, monitoring and testing various animals; but all of them believe that animals could in the future be mankinds early warning notice. Glen, I think your interpretation of the test with the elephant may be incorrect. The woman at the computer sent the infrasound signal and the elephant put his foot on the little pad when he heard it. He was trained to do that so they would know when he heard it. After I view this program again I'm going to note some names and make a few contacts and see what if anything these people know about humans hearing earthquake fault asperities breaking. After the 9.0 quakes In the being of the show, they said most of the animals reacted from the seismic waves traveling through from the Indian Oceans. So the animals sensed something ang left. For me, personally, I think the door to understanding ear tones may be at hand. We just need to talk to someone who is open to understanding and one who is willing take on a human research subject. I liked show and as I taped it I will review it again and obviously see things I missed in the first presentation. Overall, it's difficult to find people who have serious interests in this kind of research; but perhaps there is just one who may wish to monitor what we do and understand out program. And for all we know, they could learn some things from us.
