This is definitely Petra's subject... But, I don't have quake insurance on my house in Long Beach - I think they want nearly $2,000 a year for minimal coverage.. BUT, I also have a house (bigger and worth a lot more) in Monarch Beach, near the San Joaquin Hills and not far from Elsinore faults, and just onshore from the Rose Canyon fault... they only want $300 a year for this location.. so I did buy that quake insurance.. at $300, it's a very good buy... My personal opinion is that the Monarch Beach (Dana Point) location is probably at a higher risk than the Long Beach location...
