Hi All,

I think we should all give Shan some credit for indications that the 7.6 earthquake was on it's way. I've collected 3 posts he made in September which together made it clear something was coming between India an Pakistan. While it certainly isn't perfect, it was very much to close to home for him.

The most telling of the three posts was his first when he indicated he had posted a prediction on his web site on 9/5 expecting a 7.5 earthquake.

While his prediction method may not be perfect yet, to me it shows that this quake did not arrive by surprise and I think that's the most important fact......Petra

Hi all,
Another strong precursor was registered viz. 13th and 14th earthmovement hence
I made the above predicition. Magnitude of this quake fixed based on 15th Sept.
against sunshine available at my end. Changes, if any will be posted accordingly.

Hi all,
The above prediction was made with the help of two days (not consecutive)
sunshine. On analysing the nature of the dip shows 5.5 to 6.5M quake
formation. But I have noticed many times, result thereof was reduced magnitude
may be due to geological nature of this particular location. Hence I have fixedmagnitude accordingly.
Normally secondary location of the above precursor around
BHUJ, GUJARAT (23.7N 70.5E) as well as OWEN FRACTURE ZONE REGION (12.6N 54.7E)
but this time I am expecting the quake in the Koyna region.
Though the quake may occurred within the time window as mentioned above but
proably on 16th Sept.05.

This following prediction was already in my website.
PREDICTION 9th Sept. 05:
50% Diffused and bright sunlight day
Around 6.5 to 7.5M quake over

ARUNACHAL PRADESH INDIA (26.9N 95.3E) ....
may occur within next 48 to 180 hours from 04.30 UTC on 8th September 2005.
