If I remember correctly, one of the people who used to post notes here, Dr. Lowell Whiteside believed that when solar storm energy (of various types) hit the atmosphere it could focus on certain locations in the crust such as directly below the impact site and also the exact opposite side of the Earth and help accelerate the triggering of earthquakes in those areas. Are you familiar with that work?
