Re: Solar storms and earthquakes |
Hi Chris, I wasn’t really trying to learn about the magnetic storm triggering effect. I was just wondering if Robert had seen any of that information himself. If not then I was going to suggest that he try to locate it and review it. The magnetic storm information is too advanced for me to merge with my own forecasting program. I am still focusing on sun and moon position and tide data. I do wish that there were one Web site where the different magnetic storm theories were discussed. A number of people appear to feel that they are important. But everyone seems to be working independently of everyone else. As I said before, I suspect that some of the best information has already been collected by and is also in the process of being collected by researchers in China. They have these advanced instruments which are measuring different types of signals. Data from different stations are then merged to form triangulation type pictures. I believe that they have determined that there can be strong geomagnetic signals in the vicinity of a fault zone before an earthquake. And those signals are not usually strongly affecting the global geomagnetic picture. However there are so many different types of data out there that it is difficult for me to tell exactly what is taking place.
