Personally, I would never make a prediction for an aftershock. It seems to quick and dirty. Of course there will be aftershocks to a large eq; that is a given, and the odds of predicting them are enormous.

Personally, I would like to see all aftershock predictions relegated to file 13 until the mainshock has returned to background level, at least two years after the main event.
