Do you? < I haven't read much about them except on this board. I don't even know how to identify the area included in an aftershock zone of a major earthquake. Aftershocks aren't in a neat circle around an epicenter, and it's hard for amateurs to know all details of the the past seismic history of an area and its geologic profile that helps seismologists identify where aftershocks can occur. So I think there's a limit to how much should be expected of amateur predictions - and maybe also to how much should be expected of present-day computers that track probabilities and scores.
