Several specific earthquake advisories or warnings were sent to the government of the country where I suspect that earthquake might occur. And I recommended to them that they check buildings foundations etc. in a certain area for the recent appearance of large cracks etc. Part of the reason for my being that general with my note is because I do not want reporters bothering them with questions about a possible approaching earthquake. I will propose once again that we really need to have some type of formal research organization which can assist with these earthquake forecasting efforts. Generating forecasts is difficult enough. When you also have to also deal with the politics of forecasting earthquakes it just adds to the problems.
