The earthquake swarm in the West Hollywood region has been continuing
unabated since the Ml 4.2 there several days ago. I have received communication
from hazard mitigators in the area interested in knowing if there is any possibility
that a larger earthquake may be due in the next week. There is some concern
that this sequence resembles that which occurred before the Northridge earthquake
in 1994.
Anyone want to hazard a guess (prediction??) if and/or when such an event
will occur? I've got another box of cookies to the best predictor. By the way,
Petra, your cookies and CD finally got in the mail (before the disasters in N.Y.)
so they should be arriving at Don's in several days - be sure you open them before
he does, I couldn't find a lock.
