Don and Petra's competition for earthquake in Montana

This is just a reminder that the competition for the best prediction between
Don's Kalispell MT and Petra's Helena quake started yesterday 27 August.
At the moment Petra has taken the lead. Her prediction for an earthquake
of Ml 2.9-4.0 within 20 miles of Helena Montana (46.3N 112.0W) between 27 and 31
August was mighty close to an event of Ml 2.6 today near Townsend, MT.
That earthquake occurred at:
01/08/28 03:21:36 46.32N 111.42W 10.0 2.6 C 10 km NE of Townsend; Felt

This event lies 40 km from Helena (too bad you didn't stick with Don's 40 km
radius, Petra) and is 0.3 units of magnitude less than predicted.

This earthquake is the first event felt in the state of Montana since June 5, 2001,
so it is a significant regional event.

It also lies 103 degrees from the New Zealand mainshock, at the edge of the
shadow zone from that event, and joins 3 unusual events in Colorado, one in Wyoming
and several in Alaska/Yukon which have occurred within 1 degree of 103 degrees
from N.Z. in the past two days.

If you're going to beat Petra on this one, Don, you have your work cut out for you.

Good luck and may the best person win.
