Hi All,

I was looking for some information in the archives a few nights ago and saw something that confirmed a suspicion I had.

Of late I have been beseiged with ants in my kitchen and they seem to be looking for anything thats moist, but not food necessarily. Though last night I fed one of my cats on the countertop and forgot about the ants and that was a poor choice.

Our weather here in the last week has been more like Autumn than late summer and even the leaves on my neighbors tree are drying up and falling off. So I thought perhaps an early winter was in store.

While reading the archives I realized there were numerous posts in September of last year reporting problems with ants. So yes indeed, the ants are a month early this year. Another observation I made yesterday morning was that there were lots of meal bugs (rolly pollies) on my patio and this is the first sighting.

Other than that the only other weird problem I've had was the other morning when taking my break at work, I was reading the newspaper on the patio and suddenly I noticed something on the table moving toward me and looked up and it was a tree frog. So, I thought it was time to get back to work. In hind sight now I realize I may have missed a golden opportunity. What if the frog was prince charming and I was supposed to kiss him and now I'll never know.

Its interesting reading the archives from this site. A vast variety of information rests in there. Canie, I don't know if you are doing so, but do you print off the archives that are no longer accessible on the web? In as little as 20 years some of that information might prove to be very beneficial in earthquake research.

Petra (hoping to be antless soon)
