first timer |
This probably sounds stupid to all the old timers on the site, so I'll just give my thoughts and then wait to get egged. I've been following the seismic activity all over the earth, as I'm sure you have, for some time now. So far the US has been spared, but it can only be a matter of time with the amount of activity on the other side of the pacific, south in Peru, and above in Alaska. It looks to me like the US West Coast is due to take a major hit. Here are some sites I visit regularly: http://www.liss.org/ and of course all of your California sites. I now live in Michigan, but lived in California in the early 80's, so I know what you're going through. At the risk of sounding very, very stupid, I have to tell you that I've obsessed over and watched the plate movements for some time, and have reached the point where I feel I must warn someone. My wife thinks I'm crazy and I probably am. I study the spaceweather sites, watching the suns energy wash over our planet. I constantly pursue new information on our geomagnetic field, electromagnetism, physics, plate, earth science, and have degrees in electrical and computer engineering. So I may be crazy but I'm not stupid. Tejon Pass, NNW of LA looks like a major stress relief point, being in the middle of three known major faults. I'm not going to say my corns hurt and so 4 days from now a 6.4M will hit the area, but I've got a feeling that it's a weak spot that could give soon. All the best to you and yours, Billion
