After seeing the response Don got to what was really a rather interesting accomplishment - to name on the first attempt an area to the day of the largest earthquake in that region in 7 years, I was reminded of a Zima tale. Zima came over to the house the other night. One of the things she likes to do is to sit on the couch and listen to the keyboard being played. On this evening we were relaxing in this manner, when a neighborhood dog joined the group. This dog prefers to play the keyboard more than to listen to it. So, she climbed up and started her up and down on the keys (it seemed appropriate since I had the music book open to "Kitten on the Keys" by Zez Confrey). Anyway after a few minutes of listening, Zima got a disgusted look on her face and jumped up and attacked the poor musical dog. After a minute of yowling, I was able to separate them, and the up-start musician slinked away with tail between her legs. Moral: Always play to a sympathetic audience. Seriously, I expect everyone is off enjoying summer vacations. I look forward to more lively discussions after the summer lull is over.
