Bay Area Dilational Strain

Hi All. There appears to be some dilational strain building in the Bay Area. This will be the Coyote data and is located at the southern end of the Hayward close to the bay.

Keep in mind that when it comes to the strain data for the Bay Area I'm 0 for 13. I'm trying for 14. There is a lot of creep in the Bay Area, but none for the area of the Coyote data.

The Hayward fault is divided into two parts. The northern section and the southern section. It is the southern section that is most likely to have a quake up to 7.0Md. The one thing I have learned is that the time it takes the strain to build does not indicate the magnitude of an expected quake.

Don't believe everything Petra says. I thought my driving today was A-OK. I didn't take the turns on two wheels and I slowed down long before I came to a turn. Well, I slowed down for all but one. She didn't scream though. I think that was because she was holding her breath. I need to put blinders on her so she can't see where were going. Take Care…Don the "maniac" from creepy town
