The current activity in California began at about 00 UT (17:00 PST) on 13 July - the
same time that the geomagnetic storm began, seems to lend some evidence to
thinking there may be a relationship between the two.

Coso swarms have a way of spreading north to Mammoth Lakes after a few hours
to a day - might want to keep a watch on that region now.
