This morning's geomagnetic storm began shortly before 00 UT and
maximized at near storm levels (Kp 4.3) about 04:30 UT.

This afternoon a strong M-class (M1.1) flare occurred beginning
around 21:23 UT and maximizing at 21:33 UT. Microearthquakes
at Anza and Coso Junction, CA occurred at the height of the flare which
occurred while the western No. America was sub-solar. This
is the largest flare since May 23 when Flare #6550 (X1.2) occurred
several hours before the great Peru earthquake (Mw 8.4). See:
