Update - December 29, 2012 |
Interested parties can see what the latest version of this new bulletin board looks like if they wish. http://www.freewebs.com/eq-forecasting/bbs.html As can be seen, a separate data entry screen will be available with that board. Visitors can then just store a copy of that data entry screen on their personal computers and click on it whenever they want to post a note. They won’t have to download all of the posts on the Internet Server bulletin board just to post a note. As I stated before, those types of resources could be easily added to the existing EarthWaves board. There is nothing confidential or protected about them. However, some type of credit should probably be assigned somewhere such as in a board FAQ. At the present time an effort is underway to get the bulletin board program running on my Internet Server. Because of all of the files that are accessed by the program such as password files that is not the easiest thing in the world to do, especially by someone who is only an intermediate level programmer and a beginning level CGI programmer. Once the first version is running on the server, program updates should be easy. And again, that board is being created simply because there needs to be an Internet resource somewhere where people can post earthquake forecasting related notes without WWIII getting started. These are personal opinions.
