Total Electron Content and Japan Earthquake - November 22, 2012 |
Total Electron Content and Japan Earthquake - November 22, 2012 One of the sci.geo.earthquakes Newsgroup posters provided the following reference for a Total Electron Content measurement made before that extremely powerful March 11, 2011 earthquake in Japan. The detection times were different. The Japan earthquake observation was made within an hour before the earthquake. The one in Myanmar was made during a six week period before the earthquake. I wonder if there were different types of fault zones involved. And their different nature might have then been responsible for those different observation time windows. These are personal opinions.
