Hi Chris and Roger,

Your comments turned out to be helpful. I started doing some digging and found another valuable reference.

It appears that there is some confusion in your posts with regard go exactly which earthquakes were forecast.

The prediction that I was sent was for one where the recent Myanmar quake occurred.

The information on my Web site regarding that Tohoku, Japan earthquake is information that was reported relating to Total Electron Content data surrounding that particular Japan earthquake. It was stored on my Web site just as a reference concerning Total Electron Content.

One of the Web site reports referenced there is a news report that states that some researchers noted that there were high Total Electron Content values during the hour before that Japan earthquake. The news report does not say that the researcher actually predicted it.

After doing some digging I found the following reference to an abstract that explains that the researcher looked at that Japan earthquake and several others. You have to subscribe to the journal to see the full article. And wouldn’t you just know it, my subscription lapsed yesterday (humor intended)!

So, Total Electron Content is apparently already being studied by at least some researchers. I thought that it would probably be Japan researchers if anyone, considering how much they have to lose when a major earthquake occurs there and considering that they have so many that they are easy for people in that country to study.
