I have now received a lot of information by E-mail and permission to store them on my earthquake research Web site. It will probably take me a few days to try to understand all of the charts etc. Web site work is a little slower.

One comment was that the earthquake that people have been expecting for the Northwest Pacific Ocean area was very likely the recent powerful one in the Japan area.

My own forecast program might have come about the closest to getting the location right. I said a while back that some of my data looked like they were pointing to the Japan area. I thought it might be more towards 142 E instead of 145 E.

Shan might have done an even better job with spotting its approach. His latest Web site data would need to be checked to see if that is the case.
