Consider this:

What would have happened had I posted notes here and to the Newsgroups stating that my data indicated that a 6.9 magnitude earthquake were about to occur in the Japan area?

There might have been a panic throughout Japan !!!

And as it appears, that earthquake string did not cause any major damage.

So, I am quite cautious regarding exact forecast details. They usually only get sent to the governments officials who need to see them and to other researchers who might help with the effort to locate the earthquake.

If those earthquakes had not occurred today I was planning to post notes stating that the expected activity was in the SouthWest Pacific Ocean area. And that is about as specific as I will usually get.

Once this EPmap program gets running properly and widely used (should that happen) then it should become much earier for people to circulate Earthquake Precursor Data such as those.
