Re: Roger, Canie

I would need to review the information that I sent to Roger and Canie before saying that it was okay to post all of that inforamtion here. However, that one post by Canie was accurate.

I am actually planning to post another note here showing the charts data etc. that I sent to both of them. However, that will take a while to get organized. We can’t store picture files directly on this bulletin board. So, the picture files will need to be stored at one of my Web sites with a reference linking with them.

However, this demonstrates one of the basic problems with earthquake forecasting. And it shows how important it is to create a new Cabinet Level government agency that specializes in disaster prevention and management.

There was more than enough data in my earlier posts that, combined with Roger’s and Canie’s confirmation, should be a clear indicator that earthquakes can be predicted. Or at least all of those data indicate that the method I have developed is worth checking.

An Earthquake Warning was posted to the sci.geo.earthquakes Newsgroup on March 8, 2012. And we know that a powerful earthquake here in the U.S. at any number of locations could be catastrophic.

Do you see any responses to my Newsgroup Earthquake Warning from any USGS personnel? My E-mail address is clearly visible in my posts. And anyone at the USGS could have contacted me in the past few days or in the past when I was successful with other earthquake forecasts.

But, nothing has happened.

We need to have a government agency that has people working for it who have a direct responsibility for forecasting and responding to disasters. Most of the people at the USGS are, I believe, ordinary scientists and administrators rather than disaster mitigation professionals. And they are not especially interested in constantly looking around for new technologies to forecast earthquakes etc.

In contrast, I myself am an experienced scientist as well as a professional analyst, disaster mitigation worker, and inventor.

These are personal opinions.
