see my post below after Penny's and Canie's. Is strike-slip, with one of the 2 possible planes being NE-SW. There are strike-slip "tear" faults in the thrust faults that caused the M6.6 +/- 1971 and 1994 thrust quakes. There was some discussion that these tear faults may help limit ruptures on the thrusts to about that magnitude (maybe 15 or 20 km of rupture...) Yup, when there is a quake like this we always wonder what is next. usually not much. Once in a long while something bigger.
