Although I do know that our brains often impose patterns where none exist, at times we also recognize something that is "different" and alerts us that "something" is happening. Maybe this means very little, but observing an apparent line of quakes or a series of popping quakes in a formerly quiescent area might mean something (no quotes!). There was a 3 plus quake near Tulare today---in an area flat as a flitter and not noted for quakes. Wonder what this was?
