Yellowstone inflating

See link; yellowstone of inflating. OK, as people who have read me complain about meteorologists talking about the Sumatra M9.2, I really don't like people out of their field talking about Geology. Are geologists all too incorehent to be on an interview? The link is to a TV Physicist talking about Yellowstone caldera. Besides getting thousands and millions mixed up and being corrected by the reporter (good job reporter!), he compared the Deccan traps flood basalts at 65 million years ago to the last Yellowstone caldera-forming eruption. OK, both were catastrophic eruptions but one was an episode took about a million years and one was an explosion.

The worst thing, and maybe most relevant, was that the reporter asked what we could do to prepare, and he said "run" if it occurred (or something like that). He said it could happen tomorrow or in 100,000 years. Um, I don't think tomorrow. But, a long time ago I did hear that there might be relatively little warning by precursory activity...maybe a week. But, I doubt they know this; I suspect there would be smaller eruptions before any big one (OK, speculation on my part).
