EQF...yes, I've heard that the ocean water becomes more acid; heartland wife (HW)teaches this in some of her classes.

But, I disagree that if it is too late you should not do anything. If you wait to long (or may be too late already) the Greenland ice cap is doomed IMHO, but it will take a few hundred years to melt but continuing to increase CO2 could make it faster, and maybe doom West Antarctic ice cap (although that is more complicated and I am less convinced, although some will melt; I'm not convinced that it will collapse.
