EQF, we keep hearing on the news that there should be more extreme weather, but I'm not sure about that. Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel was holding out the flooding on the southeast a month or 2 ago after drought as an example that virtually proves climate change: I don't buy this.

The way I understand things, warming should affect high latitudes (and already has) more than mid and low latitudes. This should decrease the temperature contrast, and diminish the jet stream which drives mid latitude storms and some tornadoes. I wonder what the climate scientists consensus on this is? (vs. what is in the news).
