My boys were in school from 1970-1986. Class sizes were large in their elementary school -- about 35 kids was about average. They only had 2 nuns at the school for the 16 classrooms (two per grade) and one was the principal, who only taught when they needed a substitute. (When I was in school way back when, it was all nuns.) I believe that the quality of teaching was very good to excellent. Both of my sons were well-educated. Education had a lot to do with assistance from the parents at home. And higher salaries does not equate to higher quality of education.
