A number of years ago I worked with a California earthquake researchers to get an informal international earthquake forecasting information network established. That was the old QuakeNet network. I believe that it eventually evolved into this present EarthWaves board and also the EarthWaves board hosted by Yahoo.

If that sequence of events is accurate it means that his board might not exist if it had not been for my efforts and understanding of the importance of such an effort. Or another way of stating this is that in a certain manner of speaking, you are indirectly my guest at this board. So, try to be polite.
