Brian;

Ok.

Magnitude may be given a specific range (3.5 to 6.5)

or a lower limit (7+ or >= 7) which means 7 or greater.

It can also be given an upper limit (<= 7) for anything 7 or less

It can even be given no limit which really means something like 0 to 10.

Magnitude scale can be given but it wouldn't be a good idea because it would cause a miss if the wrong scale was the only one given.
