Brian, Thanks. Our stuff will be nore specific, but can maybe use your ideas as parallels. We are not likely to be able to educate people about earthquakes in general, but would do something more specific to our project. Our project would be related to "every series of hills there is a reason"...actually, on a big scale (there is a reason for Palos Verdes hills and there is a reason why LA basin is sinking at 1 mm/yr (long term, but probably today also).

HW may write some outreach text for this (she will be advisor to student) and if OK with her and the other Principle Investigators, I may post all or part (but only if I think it of some interest).
