don't have much of an opinion

Naturally, I'd prefer the administration consider science more seriously in deciding policy, but I have trouble getting worked up over global warming. OK, we should conserve more, and sea level will rise, etc. For that matter, it would be a greater concern were the Earth cooling, as we thought it was in the 70s, and possibly heading toward an ice age, which would unavoidably cause famine.

While I trust the experts who forecast future warming, I don't personally know enough atmospheric science to make such predictions myself, and so would not qualify as an expert who should be proselytizing others.

Some problems will arise from warming, but many more arise from our growing population, pollution, mutating diseases, and the exhaustion of our natural resources such as fish, fresh water and even the soil itself. Not to mention manmade problems like nuclear war and religious conflicts.

Regarding your specific question, I don't know of ExxonMobil's specific reputation. I'd be open to working for them - if they had more informed scientists, perhaps they would be more enlightened in their actions (or perhaps not).
