Wrt your first paragraph, we agree. Science should be taken at face value by the administration, not undercut by misdirections.

Wrt your 2nd paragraph, we all agree the Earth is warming. How to stop global warming is far from clear, and just being aware of it will not stop it, and other countries like India and China are key to what happens next.

But my main point is that I'm just an interested citizen, not an expert, and that there are worse and more immediate problems being more ignored.
