I ran out of useful tasks so I decided to revive some mapping programs. After some trial and error fiddling, I managed to plot the earth on the faces of an icosohedron and added the major quakes as 3 different size squares.

I've done it before on the VAX at work but it's a bit of a challenge on my Pentium and not as straightforward as I would like. Still, it looks pretty good. 20 equilateral triangles forming an icosohedron about a foot in diameter.
