Back again. Persistence pays. The uncertainty in my previous version was from not knowing the exact coordinates to use for the triangles. Trial and error wastes a lot of paper so after searching half the WWW I found a paper which gave the exact values. Now my icosahedron is perfect! Useless perhaps, but perfect.
