First, let me say that I appreciate Luke's efforts, and generally check out his website as a point of interest on most days. I keep hoping that one of these days we WILL come up with a reliable, useful way to predict quakes.

However, for a predictive method to be of value, it must pinpoint some reasonable geographic area. I can say, with absolutely no data whatsoever, that there will be a 3.0 in North America today. Yup...practically 100 per cent accuracy on that prediction. Significant? I doubt it.
