I once suggested to him that perhaps HE would be better off not to have
people doing statistical analysis of his work. After all, he was making money
from his forecasts and the most likely effect of statistics would be to make
them look more random. He told me he actually made very little off them
(just enough to keep publishing). I don't know if that is still true, but with
the accessibility from the web, it is hard to see how he could be making much.
