Off-Topic, "Rocket City," etc.

Good morning, Katyusha.

"Mikey," indeed! You're provoking me . . .

Though your suggestion to concentrate on the Chivalric Code as a main point of comparison was good, and I could really see how it could have been used to good effect, I kinda let my first couple of paragraphs send me off in another direction. I did bring it up, but a little awkwardly, perhaps. It may well have been a better essay had I sat down and properly mapped it out using your suggestion as the principle argument, but I'm an amateur, and was rather pleased with those first two paras, so just followed my nose and the choice quotes that jumped out at me while I wrote under deadline.

Have you felt those San Jose area quakes? I know you don't much care for any shaking going on . . . And, yes - it's gonna be a real mess up there when it happens.

I LOVE parody. But I know that it can be wasted on someone who is not a denizen of the rarified literary world - for instance, if the subject of the parody is not known to the reader beforehand. Is there anything it would be helpful for me to know before reading your book?

Cheers!

The Michael
