Hi Dennis. I would not consider that prediction as being wrong. I would how ever consider it wrong had it not occurred at all, or it occurred far enough way that the people in Oakland didn’t even know there was a 6.9M quake. Maybe they felt it, but that was about the extent of it. I would consider it wrong had the time frame been more then 3 days off, or something along those lines.

In Japan those charged with the task of predicting the Tokai quake have the goal of being able to predict the quake two days before in occurs. Not plus or minus two days. The reason being is that the tsunami that would most likely occur would hit the coast in minutes.

I guess my main reason for accuracy is that my job called for it. If I was wrong a lot of lives could be lost. Mine included. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
