This is not 100% off topic because the general battle against ignorance or worse is part of what scientists (and science-interested non-scientists) need to be doing unless we want to be using leaches for our curable diseases, and I don't particularly want to spend time in the stocks in the public square. It's a slippery slope from the age of the earth to creation science, to denying we visited the moon, to denying the holocaust. Well, the Nazis are coming for a parade/demonstration to my small city/large town. Seems they are coming here because of all the journalists that the local state university produces, who they think are all marxists. Heartland wife will still be at sea, so I'm wondering if these people should be ignored, or if I should show up as part of a counter-demonstration, with "loser" "get a job" "go back to your meth lab" posters. Or, should I show up with my hockey stick? There is a good scene in the Blues Brothers on how to deal with Nazis. These guys want to deport all blacks and probably jews. If I have some beers with some of the department professors on Friday I'm going to raise the issue that we all dress in suits and dark sunglasses with little ear phone so we look like secret service agents, and then try and join their group, just to mess with their minds. A black comedian, "Chuck", on the "Radio Chick" radio show (New York city area) said he went to a KKK rally and tried to join.
