A lot of us have a feeling there is aseismic slip or fluid redistribution happening when a swarm of seismicity appears, occasionally we see hints of such activity. But in general we're just wondering what's happening like everyone else when a swarm appears for no apparent reason. We've seen enough swarms, however, to state that the vast majority are harmless, i.e., not followed by a large earthquake.
